What are the scale lengths for your bass strings?

Our bass strings scale length is measured from where the string meets the ball end, up to the taper. All string lengths are wound & trimmed at 48”.

Scale Lengths:

  • Short = Taper happens at the 32” mark
  • Medium = Taper happens at the 34” mark
  • Long = Taper happens at the 36 7/8” mark
  • Super Long = Taper happens at the 38” mark

To determine which scale length bass strings you need, measure from where the ball end sits in the bridge (not including the ball itself) to the top of the nut. You’ll want to ensure that you purchase a scale length that tapers just after the nut. For example, if your measurement from where the ball end sits in the bridge to the top of the nut is 35”, you would need a Long Scale string, where the taper starts at 36 7/8.
