What are the silking colors for your orchestral strings?

Our orchestral strings feature different colored silking on both the ball end and the peg end, depending on the model and the note.

  • The ball end silking color represents what model the strings are (Prelude, Zyex, Kaplan, Helicore, etc).
  • The peg end silking color represents what note the string is (A, B, C, D, etc).
  • The tension of the string is represented by a colored band (or lack of colored band) on the peg end silking side.

The chart below outlines the different colors of our silking, and what string set those colors belong to.
