Which Humidipaks Should I be using?

We make three different kinds of humidipaks - restore, maintain, and absorb. Which ones should be used first depends on the current relative humidity inside of your instrument/case.

Restore is designed to increase the relative humidity in instruments that are already too dry. If your instrument rH is reading at 40% or lower, you will want to use Restore humidipaks first! Then, once the restore packs boost the rH to about 50%, you can remove them and switch over to maintain packs.

Maintain packs are designed to maintain the 45%-55% range once the instrument and case have already been pre-conditioned to those levels. If your instrument rH reading is already around 45%-55%, you can just use the maintain packs right away, or you may not need to use any humidification device if the environment where you live is already maintaining the proper range naturally!

Absorb is designed to decrease the relative humidity in instruments where the rH is too high. If your instrument rH reading is at 60% or higher, you will want to use absorb packs first. Then, once the absorb packs reduce the rH to about 50%, you can switch to maintain.
