Recently, it has come to our attention that there are bad actors pretending to be D’Addario representatives who are contacting our customers via email. Recently, there have been fraudulent messages offering free D’Addario products, expensive equipment such as laptops and cameras, and paid social media collaboration opportunities to unsuspecting consumers. Eventually, these scam artists request money to be sent to them in exchange for promises of free monthly PR packages and monetary compensation. Please understand these types of communications are scams and these bad actors will take your money and not provide you with any product or monetary compensation.
You can proactively avoid these scams by following these tips:
- Be wary of any emails sent from senders with a domain other than @daddario.com.
- Be cautious of any messages that seem unusual, with strange grammatical errors, or other typos.
- Avoid requests to share sensitive personal information, financial information, or requests to send payments via Zelle or other money transfer services. D’Addario does not transact business with customers in this manner. Remember, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!
- To verify the authenticity of a message you may receive, please reach out to D’Addario directly at www.daddario.com/contact-us.
